There has been an incredible response worldwide following the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, including in Israel. Many Israeli individuals and organizations have expressed their admiration for Charlie and his bold stance. Prime Minister Netanyahu called Charlie a “lion-hearted friend of Israel,” and he also credited him with defending Judeo-Christian civilization. Other officials described Kirk as a “warrior for truth,” and a traffic circle in Netanya bears his name– a lasting tribute to an ally whose advocacy had a profound impact on the nation. Charlie never wavered in his support for Israel, often speaking of his life-altering trip to the Holy Land in 2019. He was slated for a return trip this month.

Charlie praised Israel’s toughness, pressed America to stay steady as an ally, and stated that the fate of Israel and the fate of Western civilization rose or fell together, connecting Jewish history to the fight for religious traditions. He also honored the Jewish Sabbath with his family and often spoke about how archaeological discoveries supported the truth of the Bible.

One friend in Israel wrote these words while reflecting on Charlie’s legacy: “The recent death of Charlie Kirk touched us deeply here in ways we did not expect. Only after his passing did we realize how much our young people and youth were watching his messages and connected to his bold witness videos. Many of them had quietly leaned on his public debates and clear answers to strengthen them.”

At her husband’s memorial, Charlie’s wife, Erica, declared forgiveness for his assassin, which speaks volumes about the character of this family and the organization they lead. As of this writing, there have been 120,000+ inquiries to launch new chapters of Turning Point USA (which Charlie founded). Additionally, Oklahoma officials have stated their goal to have Turning Point chapters in all high schools, and the impact of this movement continues to grow.

One man made a significant difference in the world by speaking the truth, including on behalf of the State of Israel. May we all be inspired to similarly stand for truth, for Israel, for biblical values, and for God.
