A Call to Prayer: Responding to the Call - Living on the Right Side of History
WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Have you ever considered the importance of always remaining on the right side of God, the right side of His Word, and the right side of History? There is something about having only one life to live, one opportunity to make it count for good, and knowing that when we go into eternity, there will be no regrets. Perhaps that was ingrained in me when I was two years old and almost died from an infection that landed me in the hospital for an extended stay. Perhaps it was confirmed when I had a vision of seeing ancestors in heaven, including my grandmother, who had died ten years prior. I heard them speak to me as I stared at them in glory, wondering how I could see them when I was still alive on earth. They said, “You are Patricia. Our race is over. You have the capacity to bring light into dark places. We are cheering you on. Tell them of this place. Tell them He is worth it all.” Needless to say, I was overcome with emotion - and a determination to make every breath of my remaining life count.
Everyone has their own race to run and God-given calling. Yet, for all, the guidelines of the Scriptures make clear how we are to live a life worthy of the One who gave us the breath of life. As we search His Word, we see the heart of a Father longing for His firstborn Isreal to know Him, walk in His ways, and give up hearts of stone for hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). He also calls for watchmen intercessors who will give Him no rest until Jerusalem is a praise on the earth. This admonition of Isaiah 62 ends with, “Indeed the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the world: "Say to the daughter of Zion, surely your salvation is coming; Behold His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.” And they shall call them The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord; and you shall be called Sought Out, a City Not Forsaken."
At this present time in human history, University campuses are filled with young people chanting for the elimination of the Jews and Israel. Terrorists seek to attack the nation of Israel from the North, South, and remote nations through the air, tunnels, and infiltration within. The internet and social media are inundated with anti-Israel propaganda to the tune that for every pro-Israel post, there are fifty anti-Israel or anti-Jewish posts. God is searching for intercessors (Ezekiel 22:30; Isaiah 59:16). Let’s find ourselves on the right side of God, the right side of His Word, and the right side of History when it comes to Israel and the Jewish people.
WORSHIP SONG
REFLECTION
How can I respond to the call of God for intercessors who will stand in the gap on behalf of a nation?
THE CALL TO PRAYER
Lord, help raise up the Isaiah 62 Global army of intercessors who will stand before you on behalf of Your people. Anoint me to be one of them.
